Ajax has seen 2 goals scored in every single match this season so far. Ajax lost to (at the the time 16th) relegation fighter Excelsior Rotterdam this weekend. They didn't show up whatsoever and I think their interim-manager described their situation perfectly: "The manager has changed, but the mentality of the players hasn't". They just lack confidence in every aspect. They've only managed to win 2 games in their last 10 matches.

Benfica is third in Portugal but has recently picked up alright form, at least they are beating teams lower then them in the league, can't say the same for Ajax. If Benfica wants ANY chance of surviving this league phase they need a win here.
