Hey everyone, I wanted to share my thoughts on tonight's Game 7 between the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners. It's a do-or-die game for both teams, and I think Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is going to put on a show.
Guerrero Jr. has been incredible this postseason, hitting .462 with a 1.532 OPS and averaging 3.9 total bases per game. He's riding a four-game hitting streak after being held off the scoresheet in Games 1 and 2, but he's still hitting .600 with three homers and 21 total bases since then.
One thing that stands out about Guerrero Jr.'s performance is his ability to hit for both average and power. He pairs contact with power better than almost anybody in baseball, which has been lethal this postseason. In fact, he's done so in four straight games and seven of 10 in the playoffs.
The Mariners' righty, George Kirby, has struggled against Guerrero Jr. in their career matchups. Guerrero Jr. is 5-for-12 with three extra-base hits and a 1.250 OPS against Kirby, which makes me think he's due for another big game tonight.
I'm backing Guerrero Jr. to go over 1.5 total bases at [-105] at BetVictor. He's got the skills and the matchup to make it happen, and I think he'll give the Rogers Centre crowd another show they'll never forget.
That's my pick for tonight's Game 7. Let me know what you're thinking!
