Hey guys, I'm hyped for the Warriors vs Lakers matchup on Tuesday. With LeBron out, my focus is on Luka Doncic's player prop. He's been one of the top scorers in the league for years, and his stats from last season are impressive.
Doncic averaged 28.2 points per game with the Lakers, including 32 points in 11 games. He also posted at least 30 points four more times in that span. In three games played without LeBron, he finished with point totals of 33, 21, and 31. I think he's going to be on a mission to prove himself this season.
Doncic looks like he's in the best shape of his life after offseason workouts, and he'll surely be amped up to shine on opening night. He never shies away from the brightest lights, and what better stage to shine on than against the Warriors? I'm predicting Luka Doncic will score 32 points and then some.
I've also got a same-game parlay that looks promising. Austin Reaves is averaging over 22 points per game, and Deandre Ayton has averaged at least 10 rebounds per game in each of his seven NBA seasons. The Lakers have one of the smallest rosters in the league, so I expect Ayton to be active on the glass.
My "from downtown" SGP has Luka taking the wheel, with Doncic coming within two counting stats of a triple-double in two of three games played as a Laker without LeBron last season. He's racked up 82 triple-doubles in 450 career games, including six in 22 matchups with Golden State.
The odds are looking good for the Lakers, but I think Doncic is going to be the difference-maker in this one.
