As a McLaren fan I couldn’t be happier with how this season has shaped up given the fact we’ve already clinched the Constructors title, but as a fan of the sport, I’ve been craving more competition. And now, we’ve got it! The Driver’s Championship is heating up fast. A few weeks ago I would’ve locked in Piastri to win the Driver’s Championship, but here we are with 5 races left and now there’s three (maybe even four) drivers who all have a solid chance of winning.
Most teams are already focused on the 2026 regulation changes, but not Verstappen and Red Bull. They’re still locked in and chasing a FIFTH straight Drivers Championship. Last week in Austin, Max was near perfect securing double poles, double wins, led every lap on Sunday, and made it look like a relaxing Sunday drive through the Texas hill country. The Mexico City Gran Prix is a few days away and I have no reason to believe Max won’t finish P1 again.
That said, Norris is looking more comfortable in the car every week and with Piastri leveling off a bit, I think this will finally be the year Norris wins his first WDC. Take a look at the performance graph and let me know your thoughts!
